English Literature Study Program Conducts Study Completion Evaluation

HUMANITIES – (4/2/2025) The English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, held a study completion evaluation for students who had passed the eight-semester study limit. This activity took place on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Auditorium on the 3rd floor. This evaluation aims to map the academic obstacles faced by students and formulate solutions so that they can complete their studies on time.

This evaluation activity was attended by students who still had academic responsibilities after passing the eighth semester. In addition, the ranks of lecturers and academics from the Faculty of Humanities were also present to provide assistance and direction to the students concerned. With this evaluation, it is hoped that students can immediately complete their studies without significant obstacles.

In his presentation, the Secretary of the English Literature Study Program, Muhammad Edy Thoyib, MA., emphasized the importance of student commitment in completing their studies. He also highlighted various factors that often become obstacles, such as unfinished theses, academic administration problems, and student learning motivation that needs to be strengthened. Therefore, the faculty is committed to providing support so that students can complete their studies well.

In addition to the presentation from the academic side, this evaluation also opened a discussion session for students. They were given the opportunity to convey the obstacles they faced and get direct input from lecturers and the faculty. This approach aims to ensure that each student gets a solution that suits their academic and personal conditions.

As a follow-up to this evaluation, the Faculty of Humanities will provide a more intensive academic mentoring program for students who are still having difficulty completing their studies. This program includes thesis guidance, academic consultation, and regular monitoring of student progress. With this step, it is hoped that students can be more focused on completing their studies.

Students who participated in this evaluation appreciated the efforts made by the study program. They felt helped by the direct mentoring from lecturers and the faculty. Several students also expressed the hope that academic guidance could continue to be carried out periodically so that they remain motivated in completing their studies.

Through this evaluation, the English Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Humanities demonstrated its commitment to supporting optimal student graduation. With concrete solutions and ongoing academic support, it is hoped that students who have passed the 8th semester limit can immediately complete their studies and obtain a bachelor’s degree according to their expectations.
