National Achievement! English Literature Students Elected as Tourism Ambassadors 2024

HUMANIORA – (23/12/2024) The end of 2024 did not discourage students of the Faculty of Humanities from achieving. Keysha Alya Karerina, a 7th semester English Literature Study Program student from West Kalimantan, won the title of Best in Java in the 2024 National Tourism Ambassador event. This prestigious event was organized by CV Jambi Creative and took place in Jakarta on 19-21 December 2024.

Keysha competed with participants from nine provinces, including Riau, North Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Jambi, Lampung, D.I. Yogyakarta, and D.K. Jakarta. This achievement adds to the long list of achievements of students of the Faculty of Humanities UIN Malang on the national stage.

The 2024 National Tourism Ambassador event aims to increase awareness and participation of the younger generation in promoting Indonesian tourism. In addition, this activity is a means of promoting Indonesian tourist destinations, both nationally and internationally.

Keysha expressed her gratitude and pride for this achievement. “I feel honored and grateful for the opportunity to participate in the 2024 National Tourism Ambassador Event and receive the title of the best in Java. This experience has opened my eyes and enriched my knowledge about the richness of Indonesian culture and tourism,” she said.

Furthermore, Keysha hopes to become an inspiring and active ambassador in promoting the beauty of tourism, especially in Java. She also emphasized her commitment to contributing to the development of sustainable tourism in Indonesia.

Keysha’s achievement is expected to motivate other students to continue to work and excel in various fields. The Faculty of Humanities UIN Malang appreciates this achievement and fully supports the development of student potential in various national and international events.

With this achievement, Keysha Alya Karerina not only brings a good name to the university, but also shows that English Literature students have an important role in supporting the Indonesian tourism industry.
