The emergence of critical pedagogy has indicated the paradigm shift which entails different views on education. The paradigm has brought new light in essential parts of pedagogy which in turns requires dynamic changes in all aspects of education. In this way, pedagogy is positioned as the foundation of reforms for accelerating humanizing human within educational processes. On other side, World Englishes also enhances the new nuance of teaching English in the peripheries and stimulates enlightenments of teaching. The common thread which connects between critical pedagogy and World Englishes is the strong need of empowerment that should be inoculated within classroom interactions. Such need encourages fresher ways of looking at the roles of curriculum, materials, teachers, teaching learning processes, classroom interactions, and assessment.
Changes also resemble other fields. In similar vein, we recently witness forceful changes within the areas, among others, of linguistics and literature. New dimensions of the fields dynamically influence the nature of intersections among the fields, which eventually create new horizons in teaching English. This encourages us to look at new face of our pedagogy from different perspectives, which requires new concepts and empirical data for our teaching. Within this perspective, intensive discussion on the new face of our pedagogy within relevant areas becomes our main concern for this year conference.
