ENGLITH – (21/11/2019) “Learning gamelan is not that easy.” said one of Deakin’s student. Today, students from Deakin University are learning how to play gamelan, one of Indonesia’s music instrument. In a program “Indonesian in-Country Program of Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing”, ten students from Australia will learn Bahasa Indonesia in a class and Indonesian culture for a month. Indonesian in-Country Program of Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) is held by Faculty of Humanities UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang once in two years. Every student from Deakin University will get a peer-tutor from students of Department of English Literature UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. They will accompany and guide the students outside class during this cultural program. [rs]
